New website I'm building - you're invited to participate
I have a pretty ambitious plan to build a social news site (yes, a Digg-style website), with some twists on the current ones.
I plan on making the entire project Open Source - all the code will be distributable so that people can have and host their own version.
If you would like to contribute to the design of the project and to the code development, let me know.
This will be a great way for you to get extremely valuable links to yourself (you'll be listed on some well-linked to pages as a member of the community), so the SEO benefits will be good.
The entire project will be completely transparent, with an emphasis on learning. Although the project would be Open Source, there will also be many money-making opportunities for the team leaders.

Sounds good. We'll also need general contributers, promoters, etc.
It would give us a chance to walk a development project through from beginning to end, which could be a useful tool to teach people on here, also.

I have a pretty extensive code base I've been working on, so I should be able to add some functionality relatively quickly.
I'll also post the code as I go along. |

Sounds good, Sharky. The first thing we'll need is some icons and avatars.
For sure I picture:
1) A Thumbs Up - I Like It
2) A Thumbs Down - I Don't Like It
If worse comes to worse I could take a picture of my hand I guess and shrink it down :)
