it will also help the transition between different languages and you wont have to load a seperate editor for different languages.
plus you will find it easier to get a job if you can hand code."

What other skills are required for search engine sites? Do one need to go fully into programming? Just wondering....... :confused:"

Not at all. There's no codified skill set but many SEOs are either heavy technically (programmers) or have good English skills (writers). Any combination of either can work though.
Almost all SEO's are self-taught and there's a good bit of info online. The main thing is for you to adopt a mind-set. You should always have a strategy when you're building your site that encompasses both the visitors and the spiders.
But it is easier if you make your sites simple to start, with an emphasis on text content and good navigation."
