I did a speed test and the first time it took 3 minutes then after that it just kept timing out. It's not just 1 page either it's the entire site. I sent an email to Yahoo to see if they can fix this. I know it's not my PC because any other site loads in a couple seconds plus I did the speed test to make sure. I really need a better host, Yahoo just seems very unprofessional to me."

chris3471 said: "Those are good points but right now I can't even do any work on my site. I'm really upset about this and yesterday I found out almost all the errors on my pages were crap that Yahoo adds to my pages. I corrected all the errors that were on my page (only did 1 so far) and validated it with Dreamweaver and found no errors but when I used an online validator there were errors that referenced lines that are not in my code all saying something about yahoo and geocities.
*edit* site's working fine now"

Don't know, about 20 minutes after I sent the email to Yahoo it was fine.
Maybe they were doing maintenance or something, could have just been a freak occurence.

Not recomending Yahoo but I do get 500gigs bandwidth and 20gigs disk space for $30 a month.
Here's a link to a company called [URL=http://www.dreamhost.com/rewards.cgi?gwhite]Dreamhost[/URL], I don't really know anything aboout them but the guy from the Dreamweaver forum that helped me fix my Xhtml errors said they were pretty good.
You'll have to look into it yourself to make sure though."

Sharky said: "theres always 1 huge charge in it like a domain name for 100 quid or something"
chris3471 said: "I got my domain name from Yahoo for $2.95 and the hosting package was $30. I only went with Yahoo because they have a deal going on for $30mo with no setup fees. Really they aren't that bad I just don't like the fact that they add code with errors to my pages."
Sharky said: "have you tryed to make your own maybe theres only show up because you havent made your own"
chris3471 said: "Trouble is they add code after it leaves my site, when I checked it with an xhtml validator it had errors starting at line 217 of the code but my code stops at 214, there's nothing past that.
Here's what they add: Notice they have two image tags that aren't closed and in the second one ALT=1 that shows up as an error.
"
Sharky said: "you contacted them about it?"
chris3471 said: "Not yet, I'm going to though."
AngelaCea said: "Why does that bother you man?
Just get a new domain and buy a new hosting package and start all over!
You can leave SMB with Yahoo as it is and build new sites with a different host!"
Neutron2k said: "i'm with 1and1 hosting.
if you want a freebie host thats reliable, and give you 100mb space, php and mysql support apply at dhost.info.
you have to tell them what your doing with the space and they decide if you can have an account or not.
no forced ads either."
