anyone have experience of internet cafe's or free access library pc's ?

I figure that I'll likely have my laptop with me, but I'm not that likely to be able to get an internet connection for it, so my thoughts were perhaps to head down to the local library to contact home. I wanted to know how likely I am to be able to send pictures of my holiday back to my place of work, this is obviously important because it will really p*ss them off. I can burn a cd with the pictures, or see if they have a usb to take my camera direct ? what would you suggest ?"

edwin said: "don't leave any passwords anywhere. so don't log in. since its a public terminal, at least one person has installed a keystroke saver and will be happy to hack all your accounts if you make the mistake of logging in."

Please tell me that it'll be safe, otherwise I won't be able to sleep at night :D"

Others actually reload a fresh image onto the machines every morning. Just ask a few questions, you''ll know quickly enough if they know what they are doing."

edwin said: "darksat is right though. wifi would be the only solution i would call "secure"."

Darksat said: "Well I would hardly call wifi secure, but if you download and run adaware and perhaps use an online virus scanner like housecall then you should be fine."
