Darren said: "It can be done, but you'll have to see if the hosts allow it. All you have to do is enter the IP address and a user with the right privileges and you can access any MySQL server."

You will use more bandwidth having the forum on your site and the mysql on the other server. Every time someone makes a post or loads a page it will have to travel back and forth.:eek:"
