Blog Republic: Birth of a CyberNation

Darren said: "You aren't kidding. Do you know how fascinated companies are right now with the "New Media" and Web 2.0? Very. I saw an amazing stat: in China, they went from 2,000 blogs to 112 million by 2005! People love blogging and blogs."

chris3471 said: "That's where the network thing comes in, our link popularity increases every time one of us makes a post, so right now that's 8 links a day since we all will make at least 1 post per day. From 2000 to 112 million, that's a heck of a change."

Darren said: "What is the basic theme you want? I'm not that hot, but I'm sure I can whip something up."

chris3471 said: "I'm not sure exactly but I'm thinking something basic with a color rating scale, red being hot, blue being cold and maybe make it like a scale of 1 to 10 but with colors instead of numbers neutral could be grey I guess, and perhaps an arrow on the right side of the scale that would point to one of the degrees. I'm thinking about a scale like that that will be used with the reviews so that would be perfect."

Darksat said: "My Interests, the list is long, content isnt a problem. Every thing from Art to Zen, including most things Tech, Martial Arts, Esoteric, Quantum Physics, etc I used to know everything. I still remember most of it. ;)"

Darren said: "Any and all of it is good. For a man with diverse interest like yourself, I'd suggest writing about whatever subject interests you the most that minute so you can make quality posts, rather than feeling pressured to bang out posts like a machine. All of those interests are very good niche markets, I'm sure too. By writing on many subjects, we can examine the search engine referrals and possibly find a rich vein to mind."
