Darren said: "Even the White House hired specific bloggers because of the power in the blogoshere. I'm considering doing a general purpose news blogs, with commentary on news stories, but it would have to be at least somewhat unique or why bother?"

chris3471 said: "I've had something in my head for a minute now, about a month ago I was watching the news and a story aired about a cat that had somehow wound up in some luggage or something and wound up in europe, well to make this a short story, somehow they figured out where the cat came from and who owned him and he made it home and it was one of those amazing story things. People love amazing stories and I bet that would be a great thing to blog about. Fiction probably would be good too if you have a flair for it."

Heather said: "Don;t forget about being multi media. Everything doesn't have to be text, either.. You can offer podcasts, downstream video.. The glass ceiling is only as high as your imagination. As far as political blogging goes, 2008 will be here before you know it.. start laying the foundation right now and by the time election rolls around, you'll have a couple years under your belt. I'm not sure how hard it would be to penetrate this category though.. those that love politics are very steadfast in their beliefs.."
