chris3471 said: "I just noticed I got another link from a blog I reviewed a couple days ago. I'm amazed at the amount of traffic I've gotten from it as well. I know just how it feels to get a good review, every time I get a link I get a good feeling about what I do and that must be how the bloggers that I review feel as well.:D"

edwin said: "you got a nice scheme going to get links :)"

tracepeople said: "so I'm very interested chris - what's this magic 1000 selling product? PM me."

Darren said: "Chris is getting to a be real stud in the blogosphere :) He's gonna need some new dentures soon."

Heather said: "Keep up the good work, Chris.. It means that you're doing a great job.."

chris3471 said: "Thanks. :D The more links I get the better I feel about doing this as well."

Darren said: "Recognition helps. That plus money :)"

chris3471 said: "Money would be nice, havent seen much of that yet."

Darren said: "It's green. I love it :)"

Heather said: "You've got some "green" in your toolbar.. ;)"

chris3471 said: "And in my future. Could be some in the teeth too. :D"

chris3471 said: "Wow I got my third link from last night's post. I've noticed I get more links from reviews that were requested."

Darren said: "Do you think they'll drop the links later?"

Heather said: "I doubt that they will.. If it's on a static page, not too many people are changing their pages after they've already wrote them.. Plus, a good review is worth keeping a link to.."

chris3471 said: "I hope not. Most of them link to they're own review so I doubt it but some probably will. I've noticed I get a lot of traffic from the links though, around 50 uniques per day from the last couple for the first couple days."

Heather said: "I'll bet the links will stay right where they are.. No worries.."

chris3471 said: "Now if I could just make some money for my efforts, I'm up to a wopping 11 cents this month and none of it from the blogs."

Darren said: "You just don't have enough traffic to worry about it. Monetizing traffic is easy. Getting good traffic is the tough part. Within 6 months, you'll be surprised at the income."

chris3471 said: "I'm having fun so that counts for something. Plus I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket, I am doing a lot right now on Ebay which is bringing is some money so I'm happy."

Darren said: "Why are Mesothelemia ads displaying on SMB? Looks, really out of place :)"

chris3471 said: "I haven't a clue, I don't understand why I can't get any targeted ads. One more reason I can't wait to get excepted for YPN."

Darren said: "I think I know ;) And I'd get that fixed fast. Just an FYI, those ads only pay 25 cents per click and they're a "honeypot" keyword which will get an Adsense account pulled fast. No way does someone making $12 bucks a month lose the account went it can come in handy down the road. SearchMeBaby isn't really focused, that's the reason it has problems earning money. Webmaster keywords are horrendously bad paying for obvious reasons: almost all webmasters are cheaters and are worth little when it comes to conversions. If webmastering is the main theme of the site, the growth potential is very limited. Plus, you have a forum which is an exact clone of the structure I just dumped with very few posters. This will drive CPM down a lot. You notice Quinny's blog got a higher PR than your websites, even with the same or more links? It's the neighborhood you're putting yourself in."

chris3471 said: "Oops, forgot I did that, it's fixed. I've been thinking a lot lately about canning the whole site and starting with something better and not webmaster related."

Darren said: "I think you have every reason to consider it. You can easily 301 any links to new pages. "Internet marketing" or "Making Money Online" are MUCH bigger keyword categories. But you have to have a focused niche."

chris3471 said: "Yeah, it's done then, I'll leave it for a few more months because I am too busy with my Ebay sales to start anything new but as soon as I make enough to get my own server I'm going to can the site and start over with all the knowledge I've gained from the experience. I'll probably just keep the blog on it."

Heather said: "Never a bad idea to rethink your direction if it isn't working the way you want it to. Summer is coming.. I want to be able to spend the day outside if I feel like it, and not have to worry about spammers pilaging forums."

chris3471 said: "When I started the site I was thinking I would make it a search engine but I didn't think things through, I never once thought about the fact that I had no clue how to even do that, I just dove in not knowing how to swim."

Heather said: "Are you going to continue to maintain the forums, Chris.."

Darren said: "No problem man. I never thought any of it through, either, until I started figuring out the system. I would say conserver PR on the website. Get rid of links to sections lyou don't use, or don't need PR, like the Forum. The links you're getting to the BLOG are enough to fuel the entire site if you funnel them right. Don't link out to any crap, and remove any extra pages you have on there that are just low quality. SMB looks the field of broken get rich quick dreams :)"

chris3471 said: "
Are you going to continue to maintain the forums, Chris..
I put a lot of time in them but at this point I just don't know.
No problem man. Also how do I "funnel" links?"

Darren said: "Only link to the important part of the sites or use rel=nofollow. 1,700 posts aren't going to produce a lot of search engine fireworks, so nofollow it in your navigation."

chris3471 said: "Oh ok so I would do it like this then right,
Darren said: "Yep, you got it. That tells the search engines that the page is unimportant and it won't pass link popularity. Do that with any section that isn't really helping and you can conserve some PR on the main page. Once you focus on your topic, you'll want to make a strong main page."

Heather said: "Looking good!"

Hambone said: "i need some linkz bad. cuz im back"

Heather said: "Quite a site.. You're quite the "ham".."

chris3471 said: "I'm afraid I just don't see the humor in it."

Darren said: "No need to be sorry. :)"

Heather said: "I thought it was sort of cute :)"

Darren said: "There's something about the crudeness of it. The sheer barbaric personality that is intriguing. But alas, I fear old Hammy isn't really planning on becoming a top member here for long."

chris3471 said: "
i need some linkz bad.
At least he's honest."

edwin said: "heck yeah. we all need linz buddy. but no need to be a pig :)"

chris3471 said: "Yeah stop hogging the linkz you ham."

edwin said: "this guy is insatiable"

Heather said: "
There's something about the crudeness of it. The sheer barbaric personality that is intriguing. But alas, I fear old Hammy isn't really planning on becoming a top member here for long.
Haha.. Barbaric personality.. that's some funny stuff.."

raven said: "I could use a ham bone to make soup."

edwin said: "sounds like something you throw to a dog."

chris3471 said: "At least he didn't spam us for the purpose of filling his piggy bank with AdSense revenue. :D"

Darren said: "I don't think he'd get much Adsense money from that page."

Heather said: "They wouldn't be able to target.. LOL. At least it's in English.."
