anyone know the problem?"
Neutron2k said: "is it any full screen game?
are you using a wireless internal pci ethernet adapter?
if so, ensure it is in one of the bottom slots and NOT directly under the agp slot.
sounds like a configuration problem somehwere, most likley with either the router and you have port forwarding enabled, or the game is trying to tie up the connection."
Sharky said: "its a usb 2.0 802.11g from wireless & cable, its a full screen game :S"
Neutron2k said: "what game and does it do it with other games full screen?
am assuming you are running dx9.0c?
USB network adapters are useless. they take up system resources, and weak signalled. You should ALWAYS go with an internet version ethernet as all computers know how to speak ethernet, and they don't tie up system resources like usb devices do.
High change your game is eating up too many resources for the adapater to stay active. either that or your adapater has an idle time which switches it off if no activity is detected."
Sharky said: "the game is gunz online but it seems to do it with all my games, i am running dx9.0c i have to use wireless because i'm getting web from my nans house :) and i set it so its on CAM (constant access mode)"
Neutron2k said: "does sound likea conflict problem. as the game is an online game you really need as many resources free as possible. I really do not reccomment usb network equipement. even routers. they should always use ethernet.
chances are that the game is accessing the net and tieing up the connection. try running a game that doesnt have network support andsee what happens.
incidentally, why are you trying to access the net whilst having games running anyway?"
Sharky said: "i tryed counter strike condition zero which doesnt use network support and still goes offline :S"
Neutron2k said: "try it with an internal ethernet wired adapter."
Sharky said: "i dont have one :( i can play it if i keep doing the alt and tab untill i get into the game then it will just stay connected :s"
Neutron2k said: "why the hell are you trying to run games at the same time as task switch???
games are VERY intensive these days esp if you have a low end machine! you shouldn't try multitasking with them. they aint designed for it!some games handle it fine, others dont.
your probablem is most definatly because you are using a usb wireless network device. get a cheap wireless pci card and have done with it."
Sharky said: "the game is unbelievebly crap :) it can handle it."
Sharky said: "so if i brought a wireless pci card, would it be able to go as far as my usb because i also have a 3m usb extension on it, so would this pci card be able to go further and maybe be stronger?
