Built site in MSWord. Gotta couple things bugging me about it

I'm new to building and initially only intended on building something simple for the sake of learning. All you have to do is save your word doc in html. It's that simple, except for the irritating things that have happened to my site that I don't understand. I would have built it in notepad..if I knew html, which is the next thing I want to learn.
