We had a more powerfull machine also for my dads work, I'll see if I can find a pic of it tonight.
Now I feel like an old man, that pic is from 25 years ago, lol."
edwin said: "oh man! a sinclair! that's vintage :D"
quinny said: "mine was a G5 :D"
Heather said: "Mine was a Windows 95 machine. I think it was a Hewlett Packard?"
edwin said: "better than a packard bell, att least."
Darksat said: "166MHZ processor, 5GB hard drive, 64MB ram, CD drive, 15 inch monitor, windows 95, about 8-9 years ago.
and its still running today."
edwin said: "damn, you never upgraded! what a cheapskate."
Darksat said: "LOL, you cheeky bastard, its at my parents place, its what my mum uses to play solitare and check her mail on, I got her a sempron 2400 for christmas, but its still waiting to get delivered cause they forgot to put in a CD burner.
so my old G5-166 has 2 more days life left in it."

That was a very generous gift, Darksat! I hope Santa was good to you in return :)"
Darksat said: "Well I chipped in with the rest of the clan.
I picked the specs though."
mike_fwt said: "Well, if you don't count game consoles (like my vintage 1979 original Intellivision - which still works), then it was a Commodore 64 purchased in 1985-86 or so for Xmas. I had a few games and a floppy drive (just missed the tape drive days).
I also remember doing a lot of stuff on the old Apple IIe machines in High School. I liked to play "Karateka" and "Decathalon" back then. I also remember buying and using 3.5" floppies when they first came out on that machine."
Darksat said: "if you do count gaming consoles I have an old Atari 2600"
edwin said: "gaming consoles are close. i mean they're probably people's first experience with a "computer"."
Heather said: "I remember that my 8th grade computer class featured Apple computers that had "command prompt" monitors. We did our projects using feed paper, black and white ink. I think that was in 1982/83.
Damn.. that was a long time ago."
Darksat said: "I just realised that windows 95 is a decade old and isnt really quantitively worse than XP.
yes Im aware XP is better but for a decade of computer revolutions you think it would be a bit more advanced.
windows 2000 is still just as good as XP IMHO, what the hell have microsoft been doing for the past 5 years.
No wonder linux has totaly outstripped windows in terms of quality."
