edwin said: "a forum population. forum populaters. what a noble job!"

Darksat said: "Your Hired lads. http://www.aaitechnologies.co.uk/chat/viewtopic.php?t=106 Edwin, I expect at least 60% quality posts though."

edwin said: "don't you think 60% is pushing it quite a bit?"

Darren said: "Not every post can be ShakeSpeare."

Heather said: "Pretty impressive."

Darren said: "Dedicated post whores posting endlessly can do amazing things."

AngelaCea said: "DarkSat posts on BK's forum more than his own, you guys think I should take DarkSat under my wing and help him? I hold back on him a lot at this time until he shows some progress (Oh sorry that's Edwin I am thinking about). ;) Na, he does listen most of the time and has made some changes on his forum that I requested, you know DarkSat likes to customize and create concepts for his forum, but I think that might be holding back a lot of members from contributing. What is happening in the forum community is this, if most users like VB, the software BK is using, they are more likely to post on VB forums versus some of the many different designs and functions ever present with phpBB forums. Since people are creatures of habit, once they become comfortable with VB forums and their functions they will not post as much on a forum without the VB controls. I think this is a great advantage for VB forum owners because of the consistency from forum to forum that folks like and are use to and could be a disadvantage down the road for phpBB owners. Damn, I never hold back, do I DarkSat  :p I will tell you another thing, interaction is so important to keeping members, if there is not enough interaction (if members have to wait for days to see someone respond) it is hard to build momentum as folks will leave if the threads can not stay hot all the time. So population of warm bodies that are there everyday is important to the prospects of any forum, also I think the dynamic we have here is the friendship bonds we have, I guess we all WANT to come here because we know our old friends are here. The gang mentality exists in some forums where we all need to be part of the gang. That stuff is hard to build and takes time, so DarkSat don't give up because it really is a long hard process to build this and to keep a good forum going."

edwin said: "you got a point about the vbulletin. probably more people register and post because of the better forum software."

AngelaCea said: "DarkSat could just pay us a 100 grand a year each, you know he is the next Richard Branson :p :)"

edwin said: "true, he lives in england and has a cheesy goattee! definitely he's branson! darksat is the rebel thousandaire! "

AngelaCea said: "Now there's a way to build forum traffic DarkSat, appear on Richard Branson's show, climb a skyscraper or jump out of a hot air balloon and then he will let you leave a link in the show credits :p :p ;)"

edwin said: "very good call! just refer to your url often during the filming!"

AngelaCea said: "If DarkSat was smart he would try to get a job working for Richard Branson :)"

edwin said: "branson won't hire him i guess...darksat is irish!"

Heather said: "I will say that the new software here has made a definite improvement. It loads a heck of a lot faster, is easy to understand and doesn't appear to have nearly as many bugs. (No posts exist for this topic?) I think it will attract new members because it isn't so clunky. We have a really great group of people here that make it fun and interesting. I read other boards, and see a lot of the 'gang' activity that you speak of, I'm glad that we don't have much of it here!"

Darksat said: "LOL. You guys are funny, Ok Edwin I will let you post whatever you want on my forum as long as you dont pull the piss with the short posts. as for PHPBB forums, I like them because I can customise them more, and it is a but simpler to use than VB, even if its not as advanced, but by the time I am finished with mine it will be. also I can buy a new hosting package for what Vbforums costs. as for jumping out of hot air balloons, I did this when I was living in New Zealand http://www.parabungy.co.nz/gallery/index.html as for being a millionaire, not yet, but im working on it. ;)also the reason I post more here is there are more people to reply to here so thats why my post count is higher, Hey I make up over a quater of the posts in this forum, cool. if you guys popped over to my gaff more i would make more posts there to :p ."

edwin said: "this is a very friendly crew! lot friendlier than other boards."

Darksat said: "I agree, the most laid back, friendly forum on the net."

AngelaCea said: "Oh, we have a gang here Brigid, I think we cut into each other more than any forum I have ever been on, but it has become our personality and it works for us. But when others come in they may not understand it at first, but as they read more and more they find out that we really do like each other and most of it (except my shots at Oneill) are all in good fun :p I think it is really hard for us to hurt each other at this point, but we still have to attempt to be considerate of each other lest we do start offending each other or discourage new members. After all, we are all getting older by the day and we all want to make money and eventually become true professionals, so we can’t forget that and this will be good for the forum for us to grow together and grow up in the biz together."

Darksat said: "Yeah, we are all used to pulling the piss out of each other, like good friends. I can Imagine that its a little much for some people to take in at first but it generates a much better atmosphere and a lot more interaction."

raven said: "I think it's time for a group hug! (that says group not grope!) :D"

AngelaCea said: "Yeah, you are right Raven, Jethro does love the WM Three Stooges, no doubt, even though I am not in their exclusive club :p :) :p I don't think they will ever accept new members either, that is why their fame grows by the day into legendary status in the end. :D Soon there will be cartoons and images of them on children’s lunchboxes. Sort of like the Spice Girls craze!!!!"

quinny said: "without doubt the best forum on the net! in some forums they lock topics and other crap which i think puts people of posting in them WM ROCKS!!!!"

edwin said: "post whores and rent boys - that's quite a mix :) :D"

Darksat said: "OH NO, were getting edwin exited."

quinny said: "that can't be good :D"

AngelaCea said: "WM3STOOGESALERT//01010101 Jan 9th, 2005"

Heather said: "**Hugz all around!!** I love you guys!"

edwin said: "group hugz time! ^^^^ hugzzzz! ^^^^^"

Heather said: "
OH NO, were getting edwin exited.
That would mean he's leaving! I doubt that's happening.."

edwin said: "lol! exited! you can tell this guy is not really from england!"
